Dear GEM&L friends,

Christoph Barmeyer and Constanze Ruesga Rath, Chair of Intercultural Communication, University of Passau and the organizers of the GEM&L Conference 2022, have recently published a remarkable book. In it, they demonstrate how 12 prominent female researchers (Nancy J. Adler, Zeynep Aycan, Ariane Berthoin Antal, Nakiye Boyacigiller, Mary Yoko Brannen, Paula Caligiuri, Sylvie Chevrier, Martha Maznevski, Joyce Osland, Sonja Sackmann, Susan C. Schneider, Lena Zander) have contributed to the advancement of the field of Cross-Cultural Management, based on their academic publications and personal interviews. The researchers elucidate the interconnections between their research on interculturality and their personal biographies, offer insights into their significant contributions, and speculate on future developments, providing guidance for young female researchers. And, of course, some of them deal with language and management.
